What is Dual Band Router?
A dual-band router is a wireless router that is capable of broadcasting signals on two different frequency bands: the 2.4GHz band and the 5GHz band. The 2.4GHz band is the more commonly used band for wireless devices, but it can become overcrowded with many devices using the same band. The 5GHz band, on the other hand, is less crowded and can provide faster and more stable connections for devices that support it. Having a dual-band router allows for more flexibility in terms of connecting devices to the network. For example, devices that are farther away from the router or are not able to connect at the 5GHz band can connect at the 2.4GHz band instead. And devices that support 5GHz band can connect to it for faster internet speed. Most modern devices support both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, so having a dual-band router allows those devices to choose the band with the least interference and therefore the best performance. In summary, a dual-band router is a wireless router that supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequency bands, which allows for more flexibility in connecting devices to the network and providing faster and more stable connections for devices that support it.
